About iscram2012 - Casino & Gambling Hub

iscram2012 is a reading hub for adults who are new to casinos and betting, or who have played a little and want to understand what was actually happening on the screen. We explain how games and markets are built, what they cost over time and how to keep play inside a budget. Nobody can play, deposit or place a bet here.

The five sections

The articles fall into five sections, and most readers start with whichever matches their question:

  • Casino covers online slots, their themes and mechanics, mobile play and how the casino side of the industry is changing in different regions.
  • Gambling Tips gathers practical habits: setting a bankroll, choosing a stake size, reading the small print before a deposit.
  • Guides are longer explainers, such as what a team total is, that follow one topic from start to finish.
  • Beginners is the place for first questions, including how to bet responsibly and what common betting terms mean.
  • Sports betting looks at spreads, totals, esports and soccer markets, always with the bookmaker's margin worked out on the page.

Who is behind it

Three people write and edit the hub under pen names: Ione, Wenceslas and Ambrosine. Ione mostly covers slots and casino mechanics, Wenceslas handles sports and esports markets, and Ambrosine looks after bankroll pieces and does the final read of every article. None of us claims a professional title, a licence or a background inside the industry. What we offer is careful reading of game rules and published terms, plain arithmetic and a habit of checking each other's drafts.

The pen names are a choice, not a disguise for anyone else. They keep the attention on the articles rather than on us.

What we believe about gambling

Gambling can be an enjoyable pastime for adults who treat it as paid entertainment. It is never a way to earn money. Every casino game and every betting market is priced so that, given enough rounds, the operator ends up in front, and no system, pattern or feeling changes that. We would rather a reader understood the price of a bet and decided not to place it than placed it without knowing.

For the same reason, every article ends with a reminder that gambling is for adults and that the law differs from place to place. That line is not decoration; online casinos and sportsbooks are legal in some countries and states and banned in others.

Mentions of other businesses

The hub has been publishing for several years, and some older articles mention or link to outside businesses. A mention describes something that exists; it is not an endorsement, and we do not rank or recommend operators. If you are considering any platform, check its licence, its terms and the rules where you live yourself.

How to use the site

If you are completely new, start with the Beginners section and our list of terms worth knowing. If you want to know how an article was put together, the editorial guidelines describe the checks every piece goes through. And if gambling has started to feel like less fun than it used to, our page on help if gambling stops being fun is the one we most hope people read.

Questions and corrections are always welcome through the contact page.

What we are and are not

A reading hub, not a gambling site

You will find here

  • Explainers on slots, sweepstakes sites and sports markets
  • The operator's cost worked out in plain arithmetic
  • Budget and time-limit habits for adult beginners
  • Definitions for the jargon on betting slips

You will not find here

  • Games, accounts, deposits or bets of any kind
  • Tips, predictions or winning systems
  • Rankings or recommendations of operators
  • Advice on getting around local gambling rules

If you came looking for the second column, we hope the first one is useful anyway.

Why we write under pen names

Ione, Wenceslas and Ambrosine are the names we sign with. They keep attention on the explanations rather than on the people writing them, and none of us claims a title or a licence behind the name.

What we can promise is a second reader on every article and a quick fix when someone spots a mistake.
